Public Apps

The Evie Carshare app, used by the general public to access HOURCAR and Evie services, can be downloaded from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.

Private Apps

Some apps are available and intended only for use by HOURCAR staff. They are not available in App Stores and instead need to be installed manually.

Fleet Admin App

The Fleet Admin App is used by HOURCAR staff to interact with vehicles and see assigned tickets from their smartphone. All fleet staff who work in the field will likely need this app.

Private Apps (Staging)

Staging (STAG) is a separate test environment that receives updates before production (PROD), allowing us to test new features and changes before they go live. Actions taken in STAG don't affect real-world conditions. Most staff will never need it, but any staff member can have access.

STAG can be useful for trying new Back Office features before they go live, or for practicing workflows like making a trip — for example, Member Services can make test trips to walk members through the process over the phone.

To use STAG, you will need to create a STAG account and download the STAG Evie Carshare app.

Set Up a STAG Account

Register from the STAG Evie app (linked below). Use your HOURCAR email address as the username. Other fields like birthday, address, and documents can be filled with placeholder information.

  • The payment method will need to use 4242 4242 4242 4242 for the card number, and all other payment method information can be filler.
    • There will also need to be an approved "transaction" on the account, which can take some time to process with the above data.
  • The account will also need to be set to manager level permissions, so please reach out to IT to make sure that happens.
