Company Portal

Company Portal is HOURCAR's internal app store, powered by Microsoft Intune. It contains IT-approved applications for your work computer. Company Portal comes pre-installed on your machine — any application you need for your job should be available here.

Common Applications

Some of the most commonly downloaded apps from Company Portal include:

  • Zoom — video conferencing
  • Visual Studio Code — code editor
  • Git — version control

Other available applications include OpenVPN Connect, ShareX (screen recordings), Adobe Acrobat Reader, and more.

How to Install an App

  1. Open Company Portal from your Start menu or taskbar.
  2. Browse or search for the application you need.
  3. Click Install on the application's page.
  4. Wait for the installation to complete — you will see a notification when it is finished.

If an installation fails, try restarting your computer and attempting the install again. If the issue persists, please contact IT.

Requesting a New Application

If you need an application that is not available in Company Portal, please open a Jira ticket for IT and we will work with you to get it added.

Important: Unapproved Applications

Because HOURCAR devices are managed through Intune, applications installed outside of Company Portal may be automatically removed. If you rely on an application that is not currently in Company Portal, please let IT know by opening a Jira ticket so we can evaluate adding it.
