Staff Driving Discount

As an employee of HOURCAR, you are eligible for the following staff benefits on personal driving for hub-based and free-float trips.

  • $0 membership fee
  • Rates at 70% discount off the no plan cost
  • 300 miles per trip per day

This discount will be applied to a personal account with a non-HOURCAR email address, which will be treated like a standard member account.

You get all the benefits of membership – gas credits, charge credits, rescuing an Evie credit, available promocodes, etc for trips taken during personal time. You are also expected to follow the same rules as any other member, and will be subject to applicable fees if the rules are not followed – late fees, parking tickets, etc.

Switch Between Work and Personal

If you are using the member facing app for staff driving on your hourcar.org email address, you will need to log out and log back in with your personal email for personal trips. The hourcar.org email should only be used during work hours for work purposes.

Claim Personal Benefit

1) Create an account under a personal email address, NOT an hourcar.org address. You can use promocode NewHire0000 to waive the registration fee. If you have an existing personal account, skip this step.

  • Pick "skip" when asked to select plan

  • Enter a personal credit card for the payment information

2) Let Member Services Manager know that you’ve created an account and would like to have the Staff benefit applied

Household Benefit

These staff benefits can be extended to one non-staff person who shares a household with you and meets HOURCAR’s membership qualifications. To claim household benefit:

1) Have your household member create an account under a personal email address. They can use your "Refer a Friend" promo code for discounted registration.

  • Pick "skip" when asked to select plan

  • Enter a personal credit card for the payment information

2) Let Member Services Manager know that your household member should have the Staff benefit applied.
