Understanding the Vulog App
Overview
There are two main ways to access information on the app, from the Tickets page or from the Vehicles page. The Tickets page will show you a list of the open tickets on cars, while the Vehicles page will show you the cars in the fleet, either as a list or on a map.
From the either Tickets or Vehicles page, you can access the other one by clicking on the name of the page you want on the bar at the bottom of the screen.

Tickets Page
Opening the app will bring you to the Tickets page.
You can toggle between tickets assigned to you and all unassigned tickets (there is no way to see tickets that have been assigned to other people.)
Your manager can assign tickets to you, but you can also assign them to yourself. This is useful to do if you're on the way to a car to address a ticket, as it means that other team members won't also see and try to go to a ticketed car. To assign or unassign a ticket, go to the ticket itself and click at the bottom of the screen to assign or unassign it.

Vehicles Page: List vs. Map
There are two different view options in the Vehicles tab, a list of all the vehicles and a map with all the vehicles as pins. To switch between the two view options, click on the list or map logo in the blue bar at the top of the screen (the second icon in from the right).

Vehicles List
This list is primarily useful for when you need the option to search for a specific vehicle by number or license plate. Do this by clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the top right.

If you're searching for a car number, especially a single digit one, the search function will pull up all of the cars or license plates with that number in them, so it can be helpful to add a zero to the front of your search and a space at the end (for example, "08 " instead of just "8").
If the car you're looking for isn't coming up in your search results, it could be because of your filter settings.
Vehicles Map
The Vehicles map view shows not only the location of every car on the map, but visually communicates information about them using pin colors and badges.
This is a screenshot of what a section of the map could look like. You can see that EV Spot Charger and HOURCAR hub pins are smaller and do not have the same information as a vehicle pin would. You can also see labelled what will be referred to as the "pin outline" and "pin badge" on a vehicle pin.

The color of the pin outline communicates the car's trip and in-service status. The pin badge communicates the number of tickets the car has, and the color is that of the ticket with the highest priority.
| Pin Outline Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Car is in service |
| Yellow | Car is on a trip (including service trips) |
| Red | Car is Out of Service |
| Pin Badge Color | Priority Level |
|---|---|
| Pink | Critical |
| Red | High |
| Yellow | Medium |
| Green | Low |
Filters Menu
Access the "filters" menu by clicking the rightmost menu button in the top right. This enables you to see only the vehicles or tickets that fit certain criteria which you select. With this, you can choose to see only Evie or HOURCAR vehicles, only certain types of tickets, and more.
"Apply Filters" and "Reset"
Any changes you make to the filter settings will only save if you click "Apply filters," the blue bar at the bottom of the filters menu. To clear all selected filters, click "Reset" in the top right of the Filters menu. Note that this will toggle on the "Only vehicles with ticket(s)" and "Show POIs" display options.
Here are some important settings in filters, ordered from top to bottom as they appear on the app:
- Display Option: Toggle on/off "Only vehicles with ticket(s)" to show or hide vehicles with no tickets, and "Show POIs," which shows or hides "Points of Interest," which are specifically EV Spot Chargers. Both of these will toggle on if you click "Reset," so if you're seeing fewer cars than usual, this setting is a likely culprit.
- Vehicle Services: use this to see only Evie or only HOURCAR cars and tickets
- Ticket Assignation: click "Only ticket(s) assigned to me" to only see tickets that have been assigned to you
- Ticket Categories: select which tickets you would like to see. You can select multiple, and all tickets will be visible if no specific tickets are selected.
- Vehicle Distance vs. Vehicle Autonomy: If you're looking for Evies to charge that are starting to get low on autonomy, use the "Vehicle Autonomy" slider, not the "Vehicle Distance" slider, which measures distance from your current location.
