Road Test Policies
Summary
Approved members with international licences are authorized to take Minnesota road tests in HOURCAR or Evie vehicles. They will need a letter confirming that they are an approved member covered by our insurance and the insurance card.
Member Services can do their best to assist and answer questions if a member is having trouble at DVS, but it is ultimately up to the employees at the testing location on whether the member will be able to move forward with the test. We have found that testing centers closer to the Evie Home Area are more likely to accept the documents and allow a test to move forward.
After taking a road test, members have four months to update their account with their new Minnesota license.
