Business Accounts
Overview
A Business Account is a overarching account that holds many individual accounts. All driving on the business is billed monthly to one card on-file. The account can be accessed through the Business Account Portal.
Business Accounts need an Admin who is able to manage billing, invite users to the account, and monitor trip usage. The Admin will need to apply for an individual account and be set as the Business Owner to hold this role, and can opt to not have driving privileges.
Delegated Admins can be set by HOURCAR staff or by the business Admin, and have permissions to invite users to the account. Delegated Admins do not have the ability to edit billing.
Individual users that are part of a Business Account have both a personal profile and a business profile, which they can toggle between when making a trip.
How It Works for Business Owner
-
Sign up for a business account. Make sure that you select the proper Admin, as they’ll be in charge.
-
Apply as an admin. Once your organization is set up, you’ll receive an invite to create an individual account that will be linked the business account. If you intend to be an admin only and do not intend to drive a vehicle yourself, let us know and we can waive the driver’s license requirement. We’ll process your profile in 1-3 business days and let you know when you’re set up as the admin.
-
Add a payment method. You will receive monthly invoicing for your organization that will charge automatically to the card on file. If you need payment via check instead, please contact Member Services for assistance.
-
Invite your team! The Admin can invite or remove team members and will receive monthly invoicing for your organization. Background checks typically take 1-3 business days to review, so invite sooner than later.
-
Audit and review your teams activity. This is a helpful tool in case your team member forgot where they went last month, had an emergency service call, and more.
